Mrs. Julia Belle ELMORE, 78, widow of Dr. Homer H. Elmore, Montgomery County physician and minister, died at 2 p.. Tuesday in Ben Hur Home after an illness of several months. She was born at Byron, May 6, 1883, a daughter of George T. and Betty North Durham and married Mr. Elmore in Waveland on June 1, 1904. Mrs. Elmore was an active member of the Waveland Baptist Church. Mr. Elmore preceded her in death Nov 21, 1952. She is survived by two sons, Ulysses H. Elmore east of Crawfordsville and Rev. Austin D. Elmore of Bloomington; a brother, Roscoe Durham of Bradenton, Fl and 5 grandchildren. Phyllis Jane Clevenger; Mary Julia white; Janice Stewart; David E. Elmore and Beth Sharon Elmore. A brother, Henry Durham and sister, Mrs. Rose Fullenwider preceded her in death. Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Waveland Baptist Church with Rev. Carlyle T. Scott officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
